Well, this morning Rory did the deed.  After a few attempts this weekend, with only some "gas", Rory sat down again this morning, for what I believe she thinks is a free storytime session in the bathroom.  BUT...as I was reading along, all of a sudden I heard a little yelp, and 'kerplunk'....I cheered, Rory smiled, and a whole new era has begun at our house.

This was taken a little later on a less eventful sit.

Other Rory news....talking more than ever.  Little sentences like "I see Jack", etc.  But today was huge...we were reading "I Went Walking", which if you are familar goes like this...I went walking; What did you see?; I saw a black cat looking at me...repeat with various animals.  Well, I started reading, and Rory finished with the "I saw a cat looking at me"...upon the shock, applause, and kudos she got from me, she preceded to go through the whole book.  "I saw a cow looking at me", etc.  She doesn't have that color adjective yet, but WOW!  Next up was the every favorite "Panda Bear, Panda Bear, what do you see?" For this one, Rory spouts "Panda, Panda, what see?  I see a bald eagle soaring by me" !!!  Some of the animals can only be recognized by me...BUT still!  She totally has the rhythm and cadence down.
